Flatcannedspam: The H2's operation is quite simple. Menu navigation
is not required for basic recording. When the menu is needed, choices
are rarely more than two levels down.
For example, to change the Record Mode to a different quantization
rate you'd press Menu > Rec Mode > 24/48 > Menu > Menu
Once set to your preference, menu selections are remembered for the
next time you use the recorder.
Playback requires a little more navigation if you use multiple folders
to store your tracks.
Marco: Yes, the H2's 2 second pre-roll works like the FR-2LE. It
would be nice if one could select a longer pre-roll, but 2 seconds is
enough when you're ready to record, and waiting for a vocalization to
start.
Gerald: The speed class of the SDHC cards should not matter.
Recording two channels at 24/96 produces a data stream of 576 thousand
Bytes per second. That's less than 30 percent of the 2 million bytes
per second rated minimum sustained speed of the slowest SDHC card.
