I was over on a business trip to the US and took the opportunity to detour and record some birdsong in Boston MA and around Saranac lake NY. Thanks to the kind folk at Birdforum I've found out that I managed to record about 11 species in two sessions, where I only thought I had about three. Since I'm from the UK I have no idea of what these sound like, and I still don't know what an American Robin sounds like though I saw enough. Is there a good all-round CD guide to the more common bird sounds of the US (or maybe this area of the US)? Preferably one I can order online...? |
