Some of you on the list know me as a public radio producer for a show called Weekend America. A couple of weeks ago we did a segment that involved the sounds of backyards which I enlisted the help of Rudy Trubitt, Rich Peet, and Stephen Vitiello. I am currently working on sounds for listeners nature/sounscape memories, and I might need a little more help this week. Does anyone have sounds that relate to the following: California - San Gabriel Mountains, specifically Eaton Canyon. Guest tells a story about having 5th graders sit by a river and listen to the sounds of nature... rushing water, birds, etc. Penobscott, ME - Guest tells a story about taking a 100 mile canoe trip in the Penobscott bay. Her sound memories are of the canoe paddles cutting through the water, going against the tide and of bouies ringing in the fog. |
