Hi Peter,

I would recommend the Petterson Electronik D240x heterodyne & time
expansion detector:

Once it has been confirmed that those monkeys really communicate
ultrasonically, you might also have a look at our own laptop-based
system, which allows to record over longer periods of time and which
also provides a real-time spectrographic display:
