Hi Martyn, Just a twenty minute drive from where I sit. Despite opposition to these projects, many politicians continue to enact these so called reclamation projects. Often with the blessings and influence of the U.S. military, as is most likley the case in the Saemangeum which is located near one of the largest air force bases in S. Korea. Never can have enough golf courses ya know!!! Here is a little more detail on the situation at Saemangeum. http://www.birdskorea.org/saemref.asp http://www.birdskorea.org/ Best Wishes, Mark R. -- Every seed is awakened and so is all animal life. It is through this mysterious power that we too have our being and we therefore yield to our animal neighbours the same right as ourselves, to inhabit this land. - Sitting Bull |
