Some light at the end of a very dark tunnel... I agree with Rich's
sentiment, why have so many in cages like that....

This is very sad news indeed..

Central Florida storms kill flock of endangered whooping cranes

If there is any glimmer of hope for this year's birds, it is that the lone
bird that traveled independently of the other cranes survived. He was
recaptured and is in a controlled area.
