E-Mail group of individuals interested in recording natural sounds.Hi all, I have a small MD machine (Sharp DR 7 A), that I use largely for playback a= nd also recording. It is about 3.5 ys old and I have used it a lot as I also play music in it. All of a sudden it stopped working. The problem is that it won't finish the= TOC (table of contents) READ, and it'll remain running the disc, until som= e times it'll display that it cannot read the disc. In the process it makes this "mechanical" noise as the disc is being read (= as a fast clac clac clac - not a good noise I guess!). I was suggested to clean the reading lens with a dry cloth. I thought that = would be done with alcohol. I don't think I can get it repaired where I live, in Argentina. Prob the best is to buy a new one. Thanks a lot in advance, Juan ---- Juan Mazar Barnett 'I now belong to a higher cult of mortals, for I have seen the albatross!' (R. C. Murphy, 1912) |
