hi, i am having problems with my me66/k6 sennheiser mic (aa battery,
not phantom). right now it isn't picking up very good sound. my
cheapo omnidirectional mic i bought at radio shack picks up better
sound! im recording onto a
mz-nh700 hi-md minidisc player (1 gb discs).

my minidisc settings are: manual recording, high sensitivity

i've tested it both inside and outside with the same results.
sounds sound very faint, even when the volume is turned up to 27-30
(max). i can barely hear my voice when im 20 feet in front of the
mic. i've tried it with and without the mzw wind sock. same
results!

could it be something with the connector cable? the connector cable
is just a standard 10 foot mic cable i bought at radio shack. also,
the batteries are brand new-- i've changed them twice with batteries
straight from the pack and still the same results!

anyone familiar with the ME66/K6 setup with Hi-MD and know about
this? anything special i need to buy to correct it?

any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
