Saw a beautiful documentary the other day on BBC2 'Save The Bear' with 70 y= ear old Canadian naturalist Charlie Russell who lives in Russian wilderness= of Kamchatka with grizzly bears. Each year he rescues orphan cubs from the= countries zoos and rears them by hand as their mother, before releasing th= em back to the wild and spending six months teaching them to forage for ber= ries and to catch fish. He wants the world to realize that bears and man ca= n co-exist, its a matter of understanding and respect. Fantastic footage an= d a great story. Catch it if you can. I felt quite humbled. BigRog |
