>A friend of mine got an old 1/4 inch tape with a favous Swedish >singer and the Stockholm Philaromonics. He should clean it and >adjust errors, with the purpose of making a HQ CD. But there was a wov and a flutter from the bearings holding the capstan. There was something wrong with the breaks at the roll-off wheel, which made the tape go slower and slower and finally there must have been a loose recording head, which made the azimuth angle change about 1 degree from the start till the end.
