I'd recommend this as a good starting point for "cheap" fig-8. My gut feel says that to get close to a mathematically correct cardiod pattern from a WM-55, you need to have some acoustic path to adjust the signal arriving at the back ports. Can anyone confirm or refute my guts? If so, a vertical tube (eg. square brass) could provide the extended acoustical back-path, and would provide an interesting mechanical design challange to get the diaphragms aligned vertically with putting too much junk in front of the two capsules. -- Mike |
