Hi Guys & Girls,

Lovely subject. Post-production workflow of recordings is no doubt very dif=
ferent for the various types of users of harddisk based recording devices. =
To be a bit more to the point, we got Eng, film, nature recordist, fx gathe=
rers, bootleggers using the same tool for pretty radically different jobs.=

So far, I havent found a post-production tool for sound that compares to so=
mething like Google picasa (http://picasa.google.com ) for organizing my re=
cordings. Adobe Lightroom (a more pro variant of the picasa paradigm) would=
be even nicer to have in an audio version (is Adobe listening...) Hmm cant=
think of a nice enough old skool name for it. Adobe Cuttingroom? (as in la=
cquer or vinyl cutting?) I think its very strange that sound, which digitiz=
ing was accepted long before picture, has not yet have its equal in that re=
spect (can't say im surprised though).
Anyways back to the point, currently I'm using a combination of my own fold=
er structure and Basehead, which is a library software made pretty much spe=
cific for Nuendo post-production (in the media bussiness) but I think, espe=
cially with the list of features anounced for 2.0 that it could be a very h=
andy tool for others too. (http://www.baseheadinc.com) Btw im not affliated=
with these guys but I like the application.

Cheerio
Anton
