Re sonogram applications for Mac - I am currently using Amadeus with OS 9.1
and it is very good, not free but cheap.  There is a version for OS X.

But if you have OS X probably Raven Lite is the best of all (cheap too).  I=
t
gives results marginally better than Amadeus and has a better user
interface.  Only comes for OS X so I haven't used it personally yet.
