I do have a concept on making a parabolic from that using tie tac mics here: http://frogrecordist.home.mindspring.com/docs/quickparabolic.html Here's another design from Lang Elliott, this one I made up for someone, though this page is Lang's: http://www.naturesound.com/telinga/telinga.html Once you have a dish the rest of making a parabolic is fairly easy. Don't consider either design above as fixed in stone. Note I'm only saying you should include a parabolic in your considerations. It's about the best bang for the buck in picking up distant calls.
