The telinga reflector is available as a spare part. I do have a concept 
on making a parabolic from that using tie tac mics here:

Once you have a dish the rest of making a parabolic is fairly easy. 
Don't consider either design above as fixed in stone.

Note I'm only saying you should include a parabolic in your 
considerations. It's about the best bang for the buck in picking up 
distant calls. It's up to you to decide how you go.
