assumptions about the spectrum analysis used.

Subject: It shouldn't matter too much anyhow, so long as the
microphone is intelligently designed.

One might well say that it shouldn't be this hard to
find out if one set of gear is quieter than another,
but the way that things stand now, it is hard.
