It will be nice if it turns out to be mechanical noise from the recorder, rather than a voltage drop issue or something else difficult for me to solve. I just remembered, a while back I had a similar problem with an mz-n707 with Shure 183s: the spectral image was similar though the cycles were about one minute and the noise lasting about 13 seconds.
