Natalie,

Waves Q10 filter (used as a plug in with Peak software on a Mac) provides a
square-shaped brickwall filter that can totally remove all sound below
whatever frequency you choose.  e.g. you can remove the sound of a jet plan=
e
flying overhead.  While the end result may sound somewhat unnatural it is
useful for making sonagrams etc.  Also, the low frequencies could be added
back in from another quieter recording source, to make a more natural
effect.
