Hi Rich-- Congrats on the success in the field.
You should be able to use the supplied USB cable
too. Open the icon associated with the recorder
and drag-copy the sound files into the folder on
your computer you would normally place the DAT
ones. I'm thinking its possible that you are
trying to use the Audition _record_ interface.
(If so, the old method of "recording" [digital
file-making through real-time bit "streaming"]
won't work with your new recorder.) The sound
files have been created and stored with the
Edirol and are waiting to be copied. Whether by a
CF card reader or direct from the Edirol through
a USB cable, just copy 'em, drag-drop 'em over.
