Hi James
I have a Sony-Mini disc recorder MZ 707. You cannot transfer files digi=
tally from the mini-disc to the computer on this. I suspect it will be th=
e same for you.

What I have been using is a mini-jackt to RCA and have been recording th=
e files using an editing program. It does mean that the sound quality is=
 reduced (more "hiss" is introduced)
=20
As far as I know the new Hi-MD players will allow you to import files dig=
itally.
I am about to purchase one but as yet haven't figured out which is best.

  Hope this helps

Rather embarrassing but I bought a Sony mini disc recorder several years a=
go, and a Terlinga mic, all work ok and I have some reasonable recordings.=
The embarrassing thing is I have never got round to putting my recording=
s on to my laptop (also Sony) and therefore havent been able to share them=
with anyone! I have asked for help from various 'experts' and the best op=
tion seemed to be using Polderbits but that doesn't seem to recognise my m=
inidisc player. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this, or=
can you suggest a better option with the set up I have?

Any help very much appreciated

Many thanks

James Lidster
