Hello folks: I have not tried C.U., but has anyone in this group got a recording of vocalizations for the Imperial Woodpecker, Campephilus imperialis? Several= Mexican birders think it may be about to be "re-discovered" in SW Chihuahua. I have no plans for such a recording, myself, but it could become a quite timely and valuable reference if available, or posted.to a web . . . ? On reflecting, L. Irby Davis must have gotten tapes of it, he told me he spent many summers in western Mexico in the 1950's . . -- best regards, Marty Michener MIST Software Assoc. Inc., P. O.
