During last week's trip to Mata Atlantica rainforests near Paraty, Brasil, I noticed that my Sony TCD-D7 interrupted recording and playback with the "moisture condensation" lamp flashing quite frequently. Sometimes opening the back of the recorder fixed the problem, sometimes I just had to wait, and once I accidentally stripped a screw doing this. I have a strong desire to ditch this machine, so can anyone report if HDD or CF based recorders tend to have similar problems with extreme/tropical humidity? The SD 722, for example... thx, d -- derek holzer http://soundtransit.nl http://umatic.nl ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
