As I understand it, a gray market item is an import
that is unauthorized by the manufacturer and/or
national distributor of a particular brand.  

In the case of the PSDs I recommended, there is no
USA distributor or USA retailer (so far).  They
are simply products sold to a world market.

I recommend these items because they are cheap, 
copy files quickly, and give you the option to
install your own hard disc.  There are scores,
if not hundreds, of competing products, each
with their own advantages.
