Or, how about a single edge razor blade and smooth cardboard so one
can manually determine the angle of the cut and create different
cross-fade lengths? Really helpful at times voice editing and making
single track transitions. Full track recordings are much more
forgiving about alignment-- but its pretty easy to line-up the pieces
using a long straight guide line on the cardboard. Cassette tape
speed is so slow and the tape so curl-prone, but its still possible
every now and then to get an inaudible splice. Rob D.
