Dear all
Next week I start a new job teaching English to Austrian kids (10 - 16 year=
s old). For two hours a day it is an open book and I am able to choose a w=
orkshop for the kids to participate in.
I am conscious of the fact that most people don't listen to what is around =
them. I would like to introduce them to natural sounds and thought that le=
tting them listen to biophonies from around the world could be fun and rewa=
rding for them. Obviously I would teach them the English to describe the s=
ounds they are hearing.
So I would be looking for the common and not so common natural environments=
. - if anyone can help please email me.
Secondly, a friend of mine has a disabled child. I am in the process of p=
utting a soundscape together mixed with "not so heavy" electroacoustic musi=
c for him. I have a few recordings of the desert and the sea but am lookin=
g for a few more. I want it to be gentle and soothing but also interesting=
.
Again if anyone can help, please email me
Many, many thanks in advance
David Shepherd
