Thanks Jim

I was stuck right inside the nesting colony on the cliff tops, many were
still sitting on their eggs, late season so they say, there has been many
deaths this side of the country with as many as 170+ washed up ashore in th=
e
last month, many are believed to be starved because of warmer ocean current=
s
and lack of vital food, considering they dive to as much as 200ft this is a
huge problem in food resources! There is no El Ni=C3=B1o this year either! =

Great recording, never realized they were that vocal. Didn't hear any water
sounds, how did you avoid that?

Here are a bunch of Common Murre recorded in a blind on Tatoosh
Island WA.
I was invited to record birds on the island from the University of
Washington's biologists who are doing research there, what a fantastic
experience and a chance to also record many pelagic birds.
Enjoy this one, recorded with an M/S system MKH-30-MKH/40 onto Sound
