If I heard this sound in Europe I'd say without much hesitation that=20
it was meant to be a Great Grey Shrike (=3D Northern Shrike Lanius=20
excubitor), but I guess they probably don't occur in Granite Pass,=20
California in April? Maybe Loggerhead Shrike do, but I don't know=20
their sounds.
I'm curious to know what you had in mind - suspect it was something=20
totally different - maybe mechanical?!
