Subject: [Nature Recordists] Re: Whoo's this owl?(follow-up)
Well, now that I've heard that owl a few more times, I'm pretty
certain it is a Barred Owl.
Of course just hearing it was not enough: I had to get a recording
to share. So Saturday night I slept there in my van with the
sun-roof open so I could pop up quickly to record if I should
happen to hear owls in the middle of the night. I'm not sure what
time it was when I half awoke and hit record and poked my
parabola out the roof for a minute.
And this is what I got (346k):

I then fell back asleep and dreampt of four white geese. They
attacked me and my equipment on top of my van as they passed.
