I flew recently and am traveling again today with a shotgun mic and
minidisks. Haven't had any problem, and they asked no questions about the
mic. I did dismantle the capsule from the power module before putting it
into my carry-on bag.
My minidisks were okay.
The only thing I had trouble with was a note-taking device that has a
braille display on it containing numerous pins used for the dots. They
asked lots of questions about that and commented that it showed up in a ver=
y
peculiar way on the scanner.

Good Morning,

I'm headed for St. John, USVI with my minidisc and microphones and happened
to think about x-rays, film and the minidisc discs. Do I need to worry
about the x-ray equipment and minidisc discs? Wonder how a shotgun
microphone will look in my carry-on luggage on the x-ray machine display?
