Dear Nature Recordists,

I am going to Bolivia this summer to begin a field project on titi monkey
vocalizations. I am needing to purchase recording and playback equipment, b=
ut
find the task overwhelming. There is just so much to choose from and I want=
 to
get the best for my money. This is why I am contacting you. Keeping in mind=

that I am on a restricted budget, what type of recorder, microphone, amplif=
ier
and speakers would you recommend? I will primarily be working in arid
conditions, but would like to be able to use it in a humid environment as w=
ell.
I will be hiking some distance so weight of the equipment is also a
consideration. The frequency range of the species is 1 - 5 khz.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Kimberly Dingess
