Actually that was not the intent exactly. It does use "head spacing" for
the mics, but otherwise it's designed to give a good stereo image from
speakers.
I quite sure that Juerg Jecklin knew in great detail the physics of
sound around the human head. But he was not trying to make a binaural
mic setup. Or even a imitation human head. He was focused on the stereo
image from the two speakers.
