Aceh soundscape before the tsunami

For those who'd like to hear what Aceh Province (N. Sumatra) sounded
like in the surrounding jungles before the tsunami, check out our CD,
"Sumatra Days, Sumatra Nights." Recorded in 1991 at Ketambe and
Bohorak (research sites in Aceh Province), what I have is
historically pretty rare from a soundscape perspective. At the time
of our visit (with colleague, Ruth Happel) Westerners like us were
constantly under threat by the T. Tigers (word got to us that our
campsite would be attacked and burned if we hung out for too long).
So we were careful but got some good stuff and were never confronted
except by guerillas who blocked the road and searched us and our
stuff without consequence on the way back to Medan.
