Marty M. who posts here probably has the most experience that has
shared in the past.

I am still tuning to get lower. Currently at 5 cycles and need to
build a better mic power supply to drop down lower. The problem being
I have to still block a dc voltage comming out of my mic and allow
the very low ac to flow through. It has become a bit of a challenge.
My mic pre is rated at 5-200,000 cycles, -.5db so it could be I am
already as low as this record chain will go.

Right now I am more in the bass obsessed arena than a infra sound
person. Probably from listening to Rob D. carefully :)

I do like to do sample rate adjusts on long tracks to check for
interesting subaudible textures. If you adjust rather than convert it
happens with no processing delay so has become routine for me.=20

There is still another problem for the completely self taught guy
like myself in that I have found no info out there on the web to help
with interpretation of some of those textures. I can not tell the
basic difference between a sonic boom from a distant explosion yet.=20
Then there is the recording I posted here of the star ship engaging
the warp drive that I can not find anyone to varify for me :)
