Dan,

I missed the announcement of the Nagra ARES-BB last Spring, so I was
intrigued to see it among your photos.  Is the ARES-BB available in
USA now? Please tell me the price.

The Nagra web site indicates that the recording mechanism of the
ARES-BB is very similar to the ARES-PII.  I prefer the
over-the-shoulder design of the -BB to the handheld -PII.

One worry:  Does the system have manual level controls, or is record
level controlled only automatically?

PCM at a maximum of 16/48 (DAT quality) seems a little behind the
times now, but Nagra's reputation for bulletproof construction makes
me want to check out this recorder.
