I've been working with a cheap Sony stereo mic, model ECM-MS907, and its limitations are becoming aggravatingly apparent (high self- noise). So, what kind of mic, for a single stereo mic in the field, do you use, esp. for distant sounds and ambience? So far, I've gotten the strongest recommendation for the Shure VP-88. And where do I get a good mic super cheap? The VP-88 might be out of my price range. Also, I've been working with ProTools free version, but will be buying a new computer soon -- the new apples with osx can't run protools free, so... what kind of editing software do you use? Please recommend a few programs for me to look at. ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
