I'm off tomorrow for a trip to Wisconsin. Just in case anybody is
interested. Back in a little less than two weeks.

Kind of hoping the gray treefrogs are still calling up there. But
whatever there is will be interesting.

Thats' great news for nature recordists. I have sad tales of drowning two
Sennheiser mics and a Dat recorfder in the past. I won't be testing my Telinga
under water but its nice to know there is hope after swimming.

My friend Andrew Roth had two MKH-20s sucked into the ocean above a
cliff in Chile. He retrieved both, sent them to Sennheiser for
repair, and they are good as new. Had to take a trip to the factory
of course tho.

Subject: your feedback about AudioTechnica AT815

Hi,
I'm looking around for an affordable shotgun microphone. Of course I'd
like a Sennheiser MKH-70, but it is too expensive. I'm wondering if you
could suggest something cheaper and in particular if you have any field
experience about the Audio Technica AT-815 version B or the older AT-815
version R.
Maybe I could also afford an used Sennheiser MKH-815 or 816. Any comment on
this option ?

Looking forward to your helpful answers,
Gianni
