I have been playing with audio rightmark. A free audio soundcard test program at: http://audio.rightmark.org/index_new.shtml Cheap soundcards have come along well in the last couple years. My low end newer Toshiba laptop matches the quality of the Roland UA- 30 USB interface. Of course the laptop does not have optical or stereo ins as the UA-30 does. My rme dsp performed so impressive compared to anything I suspect I will not be using the UA-30 any more. Just thought I would mention the software.
