In spite of all of us having fun and joking, and playing
onomatopoeia word games (sorry, Klas, look here:
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=onomatopoeia )...

I take the dish resonance seriously. For the Edmund 24 inch,
it's "Doooooonnnnnnnngggggggg".
When I get around to the auto-parts store and find some
of the spray-on or paint-on sound deadening stuff for car
panels that's not too expensive (like the plumbing supply
stuff for putting on the bottom of stainless steel sinks
and tubs) and that also makes an acceptable finish for
exposure to hands and clothing and everything else, then
I'll treat my dish and shoot another video clip
to be the "after" mate to the posted "before" one.

PS: that URL is not long for this world, so either grab
a copy for your records, or watch the list for a new
URL if you bother to bookmark it.
