Also linked to this page is a video introduction to the Zaxcom DEVA V
hard-disc recorder. It's three times as expensive as the 744T, but if
you want the maximum flexibility to record multiple channels, then
this may be the way to go. DEVA V offers Soundfield decoding as well.
DEVA is more than twice as large and, at 5 lbs, twice as heavy as the
744T. But it has features like a cool touch screen interface,
field-replaceable hard disc and optional DVD-R drive that the 744T lacks.
Gotham Sound also has the HHB Portadrive hard disc recorder in stock
now.
