Billy,
The short answer is open your audio recording/editing software, select
the Portadisc as your recording source, open your recording screen,
hit play on the portadisc to make sure you have levels, and hit record.
If that doesn't get you pointed in the right direction I'm sure
someone else here will be able to provide you with more specific
directions more suited to your specific software. Good luck!
