Southern WI during Early September0 is:
For small birders, it is "bug eating bird" migration time.
For big birders, It is two weeks pre center of Hawk migration.
For campers it is usually warm and buggy.
For "Ambience sound recordists" it is out of season.
For "Herp recordists" there are a few tree frogs left.
For "bugger recordists" it is prime cricket and night bug season.
For "bots" it is one month to peak tree color.
For "fisherman" it is time for the Muskie trophies.

I recommend the Southern Kettle Moraine area. For an enjoyable area
with nice small hills made when the last big chunk of ice stopped
there.

Rich (or Rob);

I was wondering if WS or MN has a book like OH had published a while ago.
It was called "A Guide To Ohio's Outdoor Educational Areas" and was a
worthwhile book to have. In essence it listed every outdoor area in OH.
Public and private , along with the contacts, acreage, what was there and
who to contact.

It was a great book to see what was where. It was printed in 198 and has
never been updated - too bad. I guard my copy with care and it is showing
its age.

Does any other state have anything like it?

Eric
