I have been a bit quiet for a while but I'm still here! I have been sifting
through various recordings I had recently made and thought you would like to
share a recording I made of the nearly extinct Alala (Hawaiian Crow)
As I had said before, I had the privilege of being able to record these
birds from a distance at the sanctuary on the Big Island May 2nd. As you
will hear, this is truly a thrill and brings a tear to my eye every time I
hear it.
Recorded on MD using Telinga stereo DAT mic. At about 60ft

Make every Garden a wildlife Habitat!
When the animals come to us,
Asking for our help,
Will we know what they are saying?
When the plants speak to us
In their delicate, beautiful language,
Will we be able to answer them?
When the planet herself
Sings to us in our dreams,
Will we be able to wake ourselves, and act?
