Dear Friends,
In the March local elections I was elected Mayor of my town, Clarkdale,
Arizona. Although Clarkdale is a very small town (4000 people at present),=
it is growing fast and is beset by those problems that are rampant in the
desert southwest US. As Mayor, my time will be consumed by daily duties,
and already I can see that my attention to this group is suffering.
I have asked Jim Morgan, one of the "charter" members of this group, and a=
close friend of mine, to take over moderation, at least until I can get my=
mayoral feet under me. I will remain owner of the group and will stay in
the background.
Thanks to Jim for volunteering for this, he's a very good man, a great
recordist and I know he'll do this job with the kind of attention and
sensitivity that he does everything!
Please address future concerns about the group and other "housekeeping"
considerations to Jim. His e-mail is
