okay, i will process and post a longer piece later
tomorrow. i might even record again tomorrow morning,
though the bird in question seems to have found a
female this morning, which usually reduces the singing
quite a bit. i just posted the fragment to see if
anyone is interested.

the recording was done direct into my computer, using
the digidesign mbox and an mkh 416.
