CoolEdit is just fine, Pratap. Just move up to a more professional
level of software that they offer.

At present, either audio CDs, or audio DVD at 16 bit/44.1kHz, which
is current industry standard. Also, since you are recording your raw
field data at that rate on your Sony, there's no point in considering
anything else because there's no particular audio advantage. If,
however, you are considering a move to higher standards offered by
flash card and some of the newer information storage tech (24
bit/96kHz sampling rates or greater), then you can release the
product on audio DVD at that standard. Problem is that few folks
would benefit because they don't have the playback capabilities.
