Still here...I'm finding that moving into my new home is taking up 
more time than expected...haven't taken the AT 815b shotgun out of 
its case to capture the numerous white plumed honeyeaters in the 
back yard. And, Vicki, those spiny cheeked are everywhere as well. 

I've done no bird recording. However, I have discovered that the 
PMD222 has a jack (?jill) which accepts a modular phone plug.  I've 
taken to recording phone conversations with my 85 year old parents 
using that facility on the PMD222.

I think it is illegal to record phone conversations in 
Australia ...but I did tell my parents what I was doing.

Having their happy, wise, and contented voices on tape will be one 
of the better results of my having joined 'naturerecordists'

I doubt that anyone would argue against the notion that recording 
one's aged parents is very much a part of recording one's 
own 'nature'
