The 'Locked' message indicates that the input, setup and system menus
have
been 'password' protected - feature is provided mainly for broadcast
organisations who want to prevent users from changing settings. This
password protection is set in a password menu accessed by pressing
keyhold
and stop simultaneously. You will need to enter the default password
which
is 'MDP500' before setting the system to 'unlocked'. In this menu you
can
also change your password.
Why your machine suddenly turned password protection ON, I do not have
an
explanation for.

I had to upgrade the EPROM.
