The breathtaking price of the Pretec 6GB card is helpful -- it makes the 4GB cards offered by Lexar and Sandisk seem cheap at their current price of $1,000! It's worth noting that last year at this time a 1GB compactflash card cost about $1,000, and today they sell for $250 or less. Next year, I expect to find 1GB cards below $90. Samsung just announced a new manufacturing process that will lead to memory modules of larger capacity and at lower cost in the coming months. --oryoki ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
