I appreciate your response, Dan,
I've never made a profit on my music, so I agree it is really a
hobby. In fact my 9 to 5 supports it!
I was really worried because my husband had called to talk with
the park folks about how to stay out of trouble with the wildlife,
while we were trying to record. We are both greenhorns and our
friends have been scaring us with wild tales of bear attacks and
other animal unpleasantness. The park's response to our quiry
was to insist on sending us permit applications(we never
claimed commercial), though they did say to keep our distance.=20
100 yards for bears, 25 yards for elk, except during the rut(which I
am after), more distance needed then.
I saw some footage of elk attacks on a Yellowstone link one of
my friends sent me. Oh great, I thought. That's all I need.
As a beginning naturerecordist, stuff that may sound silly to more
experienced folks, scares me. Mozzies are a big bother, bears
can bite a leg off.
Thanks so much!
Raven
