Good stuff,
but where was the Warbling expert with his analysis :-)
If that was a reference to me, I've been off line for a few days -
listening
to REAL warblers! Yellow-rumps 3 & 4 seemed fairly straightforward...and
I
feel reasonably confident that I would have eventually nailed down
blackburnian as the source of 1 & 2 (bay-breasted being the only other
potential candidate I was considering)...but everything's easy once you
know
the answer!
I am impressed by Marty's efforts...because I can still hear these
things, I
pay little attention to sonograms. Identifying birdsong by that alone is
something that is far beyond my abilities.

OK, Warbler test results
1) Blackburnian Warbler recorded just outside Ithaca, New York
2) Blackburnian Warbler recorded same place
3) Yellow-Rumped Warbler, Recorded eastern Washington
4) Yellow-Rumped Warbler Issaquah, WA
I knew 1& 2 would throw some people with the various pitch it its song;
this is the reason I went with Doug in his original analysis of Greg's
birds simply because of these two extreme sounds. It is so hard to
identify a bird with a 1 to 2 second sound byte and I think proof is in
the pudding here! I certainly would never give my 100% commitment in a
situation like this.
I think its fair play that everyone had a shot at this also, Good stuff,

Marty, I have some great news for you, You can hear Blackburnian's after
all!
