I have purchased a Walkman MZ-N10 (NetMD) as a short term unit until I am able to get the Marantz 670. I need to record in a day or so, and so far have been able to record sounds onto the minidisk. I then want to transfer the sound to my laptop. What I have done is put a jack into the earphone on the Walkman and connected the other end into the microphone input on the IBM ThinkPad. Now what do I do? I have found a recording entity on the laptop that will record the sound to the hard disk--Sound Recorder. That was successful. It will only record a one minute segment, however. Not enought to copy a whole disk. I have CoolEdit 2000 on my machine. Can any one help, real soon? Hope so.
